Zinnias are one of those plants we do not use enough.
Zinnia breeding has made these varieties much stronger, you should try them again if you have been disappointed by them in the past.
Zinnias bloom all season and they like sun and warm “feet”. In the greenhouse grow them on the dry side. If they wilt once in a while that’s fine. Keep an eye on your EC as well. Natures source is what we use and we don’t see damage, if you use a salt based fertilizer you may see leaf edge burn when the EC climbs too high especially combined with growing these on the dry side. It’s best to know what your EC in the soil is and that is a conversation for a later date. A pretty good method is if you picked 2 consecutive days a week where you water with clean water only and the other 5 water with fertilizer, you’ll be pretty safe. Zinnia colors have become brighter and as you can see there is more than one type in our catalogue. Zahara mix has a smaller flower but there are more flowers the Zesty doubles are bigger plants and bigger flowers but there are less flowers per plant.
As you can see there’s a Zinnia where you need one.
